DANCING AROUND RAINBOWS WITH YOU.
There is no doubt I have finally “tasted” the rainbow.
I have no words for the experience we had here at Iguazu falls. This is one of those times that a picture cannot duplicate the magical place we saw. I had a hard time accepting that fact when we were there as not one picture I took looked as good as what was right in front of me. I felt like this place was not real. We saw so many rainbows, and the soothing sound of the falls was a constant reminder of where we were. Best view I have ever had while eating lunch on the little dock. I mean, who can beat all those rainbows in your view?
Taylor also talked me into going repelling. I did not want to go when we were there, but we had already bought our tickets. Sigh. We were both scared out of our pants, and I wasn’t sure if these ropes would actually hold us up. Of course they did. We were glad we overcame our fear of heights at least for a short time.
Did we really have to come back?
Brazil Part 1 : Campinas
I certainly got my fix of Guarana while I was here, & look at that avocado! Three times as big as we have them in the states. I was very jealous. |
I tried Pastel’s, which ironically are the same things as Pastie’s in England. |
We had such a good time at our first place in Brazil. We were able to spend time with one of Taylor’s companions and his family that Taylor knew pretty well as well. We went to the Campinas Temple, and it was very beautiful. We had a fun relaxing time here, and it really is a beautiful city.
Quick trip to San Fran
We went sailing my first day in San Francisco. I think Taylor was meant to be a sailor. I probably took way too many pictures, but here they are!
John is the one who got it together for us to go. This was my favorite part of our trip. If john could live on a sailboat for the rest of his life, I think he would do it.
Such a great trip! My favorite parts from it, are driving around in a huge denali so that every time we needed to stop somewhere it was impossible to find a parking place. Taylor’s dad almost ran a few pedestrians over, he does not know what it means that people always have the right of way: especially on a crosswalk.
See you soon San Francisco. Loved the sailing ride around Angel Island, Alcatraz, and of course the Golden Gate.
