Peter’s 6 months stage has been the cutest! He has started babbling, and saying dada, mama, ta-ta-ta. It is absolutely our new favorite thing. He also moves his bum back and forth when he is on his tummy, almost preparing to move forward. His talking scream has been quite the noise, but he is happy, just talking / shrieking super loud. He also smacks his lips together over and over. One of my favorites, and sometimes we enjoy doing it together. I took these pictures, and he gave me the cutest most diverse facial expressions I have seen from him. It shows so much of his cute / adorable / happy personality.
First Haircut
Peter’s First Haircut. It was definitely due for a few weeks, and we finally made it happen. Kind of sad, but happy day! I took his 6 month photos right after, and I’ll post about it right after this. He is all blonde after this haircut it’s crazy. It is so hard to cut a little wiggly babies hair, but he is a cutie!
Peter’s 5 Month Pictures
Had to post a few of my favorites from my roll of film I was practicing. I wanted to document Peter without dressing him up for pictures, or fixing his hair after a nap! These are 100% Peter, and I love these candid ones so much. He absolutely loves jumping in the swing, and chewing on his thumb right now.
Peter’s Blessing Day.
Peter’s blessing day sure was such a special day. It was the first time in my life I bore my testimony before anyone else. Mostly because I didn’t know if Peter would cry at all during sacrament. Taylor gave Peter a beautiful blessing, and one special part that stood out was about Peter being kind and a compassionate person. I also loved how the blessing included him being an example to his future siblings, and making our home such a happy place. The rest of the sacrament meeting followed the trend of compassion and love. It was a very special meeting, full of the spirit. I was so grateful to bear my testimony of Jesus Christ. I was able to share my experience of feeling especially close to Mary at the end of my pregnancy, and then more so when Peter was born on Christmas day himself. He is able to share his birthday with someone very special, and I hope he is able to look at it that way. I shared how much of a blessing Peter is in our lives, and how I wouldn’t be where I was without the atonement in my life. It’s so true. It’s so wonderful to know that even though I made a few mistakes in my past, I have been able to find happiness and be forgiven through the atonement. I feel so extremely blessed with our family. Peter is so special to us, and he is one kind hearted, lights up the room, and is full of big spirits! We love him so much!
Papa’s Funeral
We were so glad that Peter was able to meet Papa one time before he passed away. We are so glad we made the effort to see him on Peter’s blessing day, or else he wouldn’t have been able to meet him. I sure will love that four generation picture. We attended Papa’s funeral, and it was such an amazing service. There were so many people that talked about his greatness, but it struck me how it was mostly just the little things in life. Paying attention to people and focusing on the Lord really does make a huge impact. He left an amazing legacy to his family, and I am honored to call myself a Lund. He always treated me like his own grandchild, and I loved having him as a Papa for the time I did here on earth. So glad he has been able to reunite with his sweet Nana. One of my favorite parts about the service was when all his grandkids shared their favorite memories with him. Taylor talked about when they golfed together and Taylor fell into the lake and Papa reached out his hand, and helped him out of the lake. That event, while humorous at the time, proved time and time again to be true for Papa’s character. Taylor has watched and seen how he helps reach out a hand, believe in others, and how he has impacted Taylor’s life. What a great story to remember!
